who is this for?
student-athletes
Adelante Sports was created for athletes who are trying to navigate the college sports process with ambition, discipline, and limited access to information. Whether you come from a small town, a first-generation background, or a program without major recruiting exposure, this space is here to help you better understand your options, prepare earlier, and move through the process with confidence.
parents
The world of recruiting, eligibility, and college athletics can feel overwhelming — especially for families experiencing it for the first time. Adelante Sports helps break down the process into clear, understandable information so families can better support their student-athletes academically, athletically, and personally throughout their journey.
coaches
Coaches often serve as some of the most important advocates in a student-athlete’s life. Adelante Sports exists to support coaches with resources, education, and guidance that help athletes and families better understand eligibility requirements, recruiting timelines, and the opportunities available beyond high school sports.
what adelante sports covers
Understanding eligibility early can create more opportunities later. Adelante Sports helps student-athletes and families navigate academic requirements, timelines, core courses, and the standards connected to NCAA, NAIA, and other collegiate pathways so athletes can stay prepared both on and off the field.
Recruiting can feel overwhelming without guidance or exposure to the process. Adelante Sports breaks down the fundamentals of communication, highlight preparation, coach outreach, recruiting timelines, camps, and relationship-building to help athletes approach the process with more confidence and clarity.
There is no single path to competing at the next level. Whether pursuing NCAA, NAIA, JUCO, or other collegiate opportunities, Adelante Sports helps athletes and families better understand the differences between each pathway and how to identify the environment that best supports their academic, athletic, and personal goals.
Athletics can open doors, but preparation beyond sports helps sustain those opportunities. Adelante Sports emphasizes habits, communication, leadership, time management, and personal development to help student-athletes build a stronger foundation for success in college, careers, and life beyond competition.
why does adelante sports exist?
Adelante Sports was built from lived experience — not just in athletics, but in watching what opportunity can do for an entire family.
Growing up, I saw firsthand how sports could open doors to education, confidence, leadership, and experiences that once felt far outside the reach of small-town families. As a student-athlete at the Division II level, I experienced what it meant to compete while also navigating academics, recruiting, eligibility, and the transition into higher education largely for the first time. Around me were athletes and families trying to figure out complex systems without clear guidance or direct access to resources.
Many of us came from communities where college athletics was possible, but understanding how to reach those opportunities was not always clear. I watched teammates, friends, and families learn recruiting, eligibility, financial aid, and college expectations in real time — often while balancing work, family responsibilities, language barriers, or limited exposure to the process.
Adelante Sports exists to help make those pathways feel more understandable and more accessible for student-athletes, parents, coaches, immigrant families, and first-generation students who may be navigating these spaces for the very first time.
Because talent exists everywhere. Access to information does not always exist equally.
